Hi Folks

I want to have categories that are active but not displayed in the menu.

I want to add the attribute ‘display_in_menu’ to the category model to we can filter by it.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to do this?

Cheers

Warren

Hi Warren,

I’m not sure if your desire is as simple as this, but you can go into

admin
catalog
manage categories
(select the desired store scope from the drop down at the upper left, if applicable)
Select the desired category from the list of categories on the left
In the main content area, scroll down and set “Is Active” to “No”.
Click “Save Category” at the upper-right

refresh your store page and roll over the appropriate menu item (if not top-level) to see if the desired affect was achieved.

Hope that helps,
David
