The problem for everybody that is getting the same error than cgfc is that on the Settings Tab in Magento connect the Preferred State dropdown has ‘Stable’ value selected while the osCommerce Migration Tool is a Beta extension, by changing your settings you should be able to install it.

Important: There’s currently an issue with the osCommerce Migration Tool files that are in conflict with the Modern Theme files ( http://www.magentocommerce.com/bug-tracking/issue?issue=3755). This is planned to be resolved soon

Ok these are the things I have found..

1. it needs to be set to the beta version of the plugin.
2. I am using rackspace and something with the version of php or pear is not right. I am trying to rectify that now. Also the uploads of the files from the magento/connect uploads them as 666. Can execute.
3. I also have a bluehost account, which installs Magento fine with no errors. ALso I can install the plugin.

I also have a Zen cart, and am not sure what tables I need to change to get it to work with the oscommerce plugin. There was another thread about it but it was really confusing.
