Hi
My name is Son, from Vietnam .
I’m translating the language pack of Magento to Vietnamese . I can’t wait for the official release of Magento.
Btw, any of you guys have a chance travel to Vietnam. You knew where to find a tour guide
Hello All, My Name is Kenneth from Malaysia. I had just successfully installed Magento into my computer and its look great. Can’t wait for the official release.
Hello all, I’m Hugo from Sintra - Portugal. I work as a network and security administrator and i code for fun. Have some knowledge with joomla and started looking into eStores when a known of mine told me that he wanted to upgrade his osCommerce shop.
Right now i’m waiting on the development of magento since the future around it seems very “bright”
Im Joley from Sweden. Actually i found this site by misstake, or, it was more like i had the mood “oh-im-so-bored”, so i got into google and searched for some new open-source project to research about. This time i was more interested about e-commerce systems, i had already tried many many free webshops for free, but unfortunately i’d never got so curios in an open-source shop like magento.
So guys, here I am. A man from Sweden who love to see how this project goes forward. I think i will be in this race as long as its live, so you guys can count on many contributions from me.
I’m Mark and I’m a marketing guru specializing in online sales and merchandising. I handle the marketing campaigns and copy for some big retail stores, and also own some of my own sites. I’m currently using 3DCart and hating every second.
I’m Matti Ressler and am CEO of Suomedia who specialize in all aspects of ecommerce development and programming.
We have been developing with osCommerce since 2001 and I am a Senior Team Member (in exile) with the osCommerce project.
Its great to see this new and comprehensive ecommerce project Magento and also to see such a solid and cohesive team behind it. Our company looks forward to the first production release in Q1 2008 and our team can’t wait to roll out our first live store! We have for some time now been gearing up to use Magento as the core codebase for our ecommerce solutions and can honestly say that it already beats anything else out there hands down.
Magento epitomises three things that I see as fundamental to the long term success of any project : teamwork, professionalism and vision. Your product is a wonderful testimony to the dedication of your entire team and leadership.
I’m another Ben and I’m another Swede (no, not the turnip variety,..). I’ve been looking for a good e-commerce solution for years, and short of the million dollar variety I’ve come up short. We started developing our own a few months ago but when Magento turned up we put a halt to it.
When I don’t lurch here I lurch at 99.se or at travian or in music rehearsal or in front of a good movie. I develop my own systems - I’ve a couple of ultra-user-friendly CMS-varieties, some survey and statistics systems and some online booking gizmos. And a lot of websites. Recently I’ve bashed my head bloody trying to please the multitude of poor email clients trying to build a good workflow for rich emails delivery. Gee, thanks m$ for the excellent html support in Outlook 2007. Not.
Hi I’m Max from Germany and I take it very personally that you guys take everything personally!
I’m one of those who can’t wait until Magento 1.0 is released. I hope I’ll be able to support this community somehow.
I’m actually 19 years old and doing my school leaving certificate.
Hi Im James, in my long search for a half decent e commerce package the right side of 6 figures i finally end up here! I guess you could call me a groupie, or cut and paste warrior . I have some experiance with both Zen Cart and Cube Cart. I am looking forward to breaking Magento 1.0 and spending weeks trying to find the backup
I’ve been using oscommerce for some years now (and other software before) - and I’ve been awaiting their new `improved` version for so long that.
Anyway I heard about magento, had a quick look, and it looks very (no highly) promising. Am looking forward to working with it over the next few months - partly as magento devlops, and partly as I redevelop my own website.
It all looks very good - it has a plan (as an oscommerce user that is highly unusual) and it looks like it is going to happen (also an unlikely event in the oscommerce arean).
Good luck to the project and all of us who hope to be in there with it.
