I am, however, having problems with it and Google Checkout. I keep getting:
“Merchant Calculations: We were looking for data in your merchant-calculation-results, but were not able to find it:
result: address-id:261286200525000
shipping-name: Royal Mail - Airmail”
Not sure what to do! Am not using any restricted symbols as you said, and I’m using the latest v1.1.3 of the module.
Magento 1.1.3
Another question: Is this compatible with the autoquote module? If yes, could you please tell us what the names of the shipping methods are, as the default one has to be set up manually in the autoquote module - for example, “tablerate_bestway” etc?
Really busy on a project that is going on Tuesday so I won’t have time, really, to look into the Google Checkout problem at the moment. If you send me an email then we can resolve this that way - I’m sure it will work out quicker. Once we get it solved then I can send out another release so that everyone else can benefit from your problem being solved.
With regards to the autoquote module - I should imagine so. The method names are:
You’ll need to prefix them with “royalmail_” by the looks of things. Haven’t used that module so it’s probably best to get in touch with it’s developer(s) for any other support.
Hi Meanbee,
Just wanted to say thanks for a great extension, It’s exactly what I have been after
One question though, when setting the weight of my products should they be set in Kilo’s or lbs?
I have never been able to find any documentation for Magento which tells you which weight unit it uses.
Hi lisali, thanks for the reply,
just done a quick test and it is in grammes, wasn’t sure at first with weight field in the product admin being displayed as “1.000”.
Hi MeanBee,
just upgraded to the latest 1.4 version from 1.3 but it seems to have a few problems. I’m running an un-modified 1.1.6 install and when you add a product to the basket and use the shipping quote feature you get a lot of numbers displayed along the top of the page?
Also if you try to add another product to the basket you receive an error but the product is still added, and I have no idea why all the type in the cart has decided to increase in size?
You can see the problem here www.liddle-young.com sites in its early stages and only has a couple of test products on but you can see the problem. Tried it in both FF and IE and you get the same error, anyone else had this?
Dean
P.S. Also doesn’t seem happy when you try to remove an item from your cart, you get an error but it does remove it?
Can you try a reinstall? If that doesn’t work, uninstall, then check that the app/code/community/Meanbee/Royalmail either does not exist or is empty, and then attempt and install again.
I did put that output there when I was debugging, I may have uploaded a release with them still in, but then uploaded the correct one. The version up on there now certainly does not have those problems.
The reinstall has solved the problem, it must have been running an older version even though it said 1.1.4 was installed? The Rounding up feature was missing before I did the reinstall and now its there
No problem. An uninstall, a manual check to see if it uninstalled, then a reinstall is a good way to fix a lot of the errors that people are encountering with modules.
The vast majority of my current orders are for single books which are not that heavy so your extension will work great for that, but I think people would definitely buy more if they had the option of cheaper postage when using Royal Mail Standard Parcel for delivery.
