I am Mustafa. Currently teaching e-commerce at a Uni here in Saudi Arabia. Read about Magento on Read/Write Web. Really impressed with the product.
On the personal noteI spent the 1st 8 years of my life in Saudi - the next 8 in England - the next 8 in the US - the next 4 in Australia - have been back in Saudi Arabia since 2000. Still remember the web when the Trojan Room coffee pot webcam was the site to visit & ALL web pages had grey background color, and hyperlinks were only available in blue and purple
HI there My Name is Nikos and I am form Scotland. I am looking forward to all the new features Magento will provide for me and working with some E-Commerce fans such as your self!!
Hi Guys and Gals,
I’m Peter - In Northern VA - been testing Magento from day one ... I am the CEO and President of AIC Inc. / asktp.com.
been in IT for over 20 years ...
I am the manager of a European software consulting company and I really look forward to offer my customers this supreme commerce system. Great use of patterns, keep the architecture tight and secure and work the performance issues later. When seeing the developers software design skills I can’t help thinking that Java would have been a better platform choice. But never the less I love the work so far, and if the coding/design discipline is kept as so far then we are probably experiencing the best commerce product ever.
My name is André from Citrus Digital. I’m currently living in the UK and we are actively supporting the Magento development by providing bug reports (when we find them) on new releases and testing as much as possible. We are also hosting a number of UK based magento development users on our servers in the aim to help the community as much as possible.
We’re a friendly bunch at Citrus and are eagerly awaiting the 1st release. Best of luck with everything and if anyone needs european based hosting, please feel free to get in contact at anytime.
Hello, my name is Allen, I’m from Texas and I’ve been in software/community support and development for a good number of years at ubbdev - I’m interested in Magento for clients as well as for my dad’s business’ online shop to be at AyresInc - can’t wait for a release version to come out
I’m a web developer from the UK (although Australia originally) and have a keen interest in Open Source (in particular the Drupal CMS). I have been developing websites since 1998 and while Perl is my favorite language, I am usually programming with PHP.
So far Magento has impressed me a lot, and I’m looking forward to using it on future e-commerce projects. Also, I hope to be involved with Magento development by helping to make it work well for UK based stores.
This is my first post in the Magento forum, I stumbled across Magento yesterday whilst researching the market for a decent shopping cart for an upcoming project. Like most of the rest of you I’m sick and tired of the usual suspects....
I love the look of Magento and can’t wait til the beast is released in full, I’m particularly looking forward to the downloadable goods addition, I hope its as feature packed and useable as the rest of the suite.
Keep up the good work guys - you just recruited another evangelist
My name is Fred, and I work for a small graphic design/strategic marketing/web development firm in Western Massachusetts. I started using OSCommerce in Spring of 2006. By Spring 2007 we felt OSCommerce was a sinking ship. The code base (or code Rubik’s Cube, as I would prefer to refer to that puzzling jumble of insanity as) got to be too much to maintain. I started looking for a better open source package, and lo and behold, Digg had a story about Magento, and I’ve never looked back. We’re looking to have our first project on Magento released in January, if all goes well with the development of Magento. I came from an ASP.net background, but I love open source and think it is the way to go these days.
I’m Johan and I’m an ecommerce nerd. Originating from Sweden. I intend to use Magento for my own stores and clients who crave quality.
I lurk the forum and spit out ideas every once and a while.
It’s great to have a quality team developing the software. I’ve waited long for someone to evolve the ecommerce market and run past all the crappy solutions out there! Looking forward to the first stable release.
hello,
this is marwan, I am doing sem for about 7 years. Looking forward to meeting the rest of the community and help building the best open source shopping cart solution ever.
