I plan to launch mltiple websites from a single instance of Magento.... I am trying with Crucial web hosting, https://www.crucialwebhost.com/, and Eliterax (http://www.eliterax.com/).  These two companies are the only two US hosting companies in the Magento Partners list on this website....  I heard Arien hosts their own sample shops with Crucial, and they switched from Nexcess to Crucial some time ago?  Anybody with insight on this?

And then???

I’m dying to hear from the customer’s experience with any given web host, as opposed to what can be gleaned from the web host’s hyped up web site.

Yep, they provide some interesting stuff.  I think we have another hostcritiq on our hands

3firelegs, some advice: check out the hosts that provide a live Magento demo store (e.g. on this list), and pick, say the fastest top 3. Then you probably want to check out their support response time. I would not pay to much attention as to whether they are a “Magento Partner” or not. Any host can pay to become one, and being on that list is no guarantee of the quality of their services.

We use SimpleHelix… and we love them.  They are speedy and have fantastic support.
