I really had high hopes for your cart. It by far looked the best. However your cart, even the 1.0 stable version wouldn’t stay up. It would work fine and crap out. I even dumped my old host and went with one of your recommended hosts. I am going back to oscommerce. you guys shouldn’t put out a cart in such an unstable condition. By the way, I am a programmer and a web designer and i am not new to installing and running a system. I followed all guides.
For our sanity and for the well-being of this community, I am happy to see you leave.
Thank you for leaving! We sure won’t miss you one bit. Please don’t come back!
This can’t be the worst cart ever. You haven’t seen the shopping cart I programmed. Man, that sucked.
Haha, see, there you go, hyteckit is taking credit for the worst cart ever
My opinion? Magento is far superior to any other ecommerce software out there (osCommerce, 3D Cart, X-Cart, Agora, cpCommerce, Squirrelcart, CubeCart, CS-Cart, and the 200+ other shopping cart systems out there). Apples and oranges really.
I am sorry if i offended anyone. I was just venting after 3 days of getting it up and running only to have it crash. I just loved this cart so much i was so disappointed when it wouldnt stay up. The host i use is nexcess.net. I asked them about my problems and they said that they just install it and it had its problems. I got oscommerce running maybe i will try again in a sub folder. I had it all set up and started getting the invalid attribute name error.

What do you mean by “crash”? Do you get errors or does the server crash?
Heh no need for apologies, everyone has their moments with magento and I’m sure you aren’t alone in that area
I guess the analogy is like using magento is like taming a beast. In the beginning, you got to be very patient with it, but at the end it’s going to be all worth it =)
