Magento

I have tried to install this extension but get the following error:

Failed to download magento-core/Mage_Oscommerce within preferred state “stable”, latest release is version 1.0.19700, stability “beta”, use “channel://connect.magentocommerce.com/core/Mage_Oscommerce-1.0.19700” to install
Cannot initialize ‘channel://connect.magentocommerce.com/core/Mage_Oscommerce’, invalid or missing package file
Install Errors
Package “channel://connect.magentocommerce.com/core/Mage_Oscommerce” is not valid
PEAR ERROR: install failed

Any help appreciated

Although it says “PEAR ERROR”, the real cause is “Installing this module fails because of your current settings”.
If you look at the “settings” tab in “magento connect”, yours is currently at the normal level of “stable”, while the module you want to install is still at the “beta” level.

Change your setting to “beta”, install the module, change back your settings to “stable”.
