Just curious what you guys think is better, first Breast Pump Deals layout or this one...all comments welcome...note its just a mock-up, more details would be applied.
It’s hard to tell without having a full image for the first mockup like the last one you provided. What I do like about the first one is the prominent search bar and “hero” image. Search is one of the first things someone will go for on an ecommerce store, so it should be easy to find. Post a full mokcup and I can tell you which I prefer.
I probably like the first Breast Pump Deals layout better, because the picture adds some emotions to it. However, maybe I would try to make the header somewhat smaller, to be able to display more products on the same page.
You don’t. But there really isn’t a need to, unless you’re really vain about it. In which case you’re still out of luck.
Congrats on the designs. I was also working with Robb on his theme design project for BPD for a while, but some things on his end didn’t work out. In any case, I expect to show off a number of Magento sites I’ve been working on lately as well in the coming weeks.
When you click on the top navi or side navi the category slides out, pretty cool…
