hai fatto un test con aruba?

Salve a tutti,

scusate ma io ho fatto un test su aruba e mi ha dato questo risultato:

Your server does not meet the following requirements in order to install Magento.
The following requirements failed, please contact your hosting provider in order to receive assistance with meeting the system requirements for Magento:

* You need PHP 5.2.0 (or greater)
* You are missing the dom extension
* You are missing the hash extension
* You are missing the iconv extension
* You are missing the pdo extension
* You are missing the pdo_mysql extension
* You are missing the simplexml extension

The following requirements were successfully met:

* Safe Mode is off
* You have MySQL 4.1.20 (or greater)
* You have the curl extension
* You have the gd extension
* You have the mcrypt extension
* You have the pcre extension

siamo sicuri che su aruba server linux funzioni?

è stato ripetuto spesso che su aruba magento non funziona. Hanno versioni di php e MySQL troppo vecchie. Ci sono alcuni hosting italiani che supportano magento. Vedi ad esempio http://www.rcsolution.it
Il motivo per cui quell’utente dice di averlo installato correttamente mi è oscuro. Probabilmente, ha preso un server dedicato dove può farci quello che vuole, quindi modificare le versioni di php e mysql. Solitamente però, Aruba non concede aggiornamenti per php e mysql

vi comunico che sono stato contattato da aruba dopo la mia richiesta a php 5 e mi hanno detto che lo fanno senza nessun problema e che contattano tutti quelli che vogliono passare a php 5 facendo un passaggio del tutto gratuito.

Così potrebbe andare secondo voi?

purtroppo non te lo so dire. Anche a me nonostante tutti i servizi e le estensioni fossero ok, capitavano errori su errori.
Io per non perderci la testa ho scelto un hosting apposta per Magento

Si ma non capisco i prezzi… inoltre ho già dominio e tutto pagato su aruba come faccio a spostarlo prima della scadenza????

cosa non capisci dei prezzi? Comunque ti consiglio di rivolgerti a loro per il trasferimento.
I server di Aruba sono spesso sovraffollati e un magento lì ci impiegherebbe tantissimo tempo per caricare una pagina (sempre ammesso che si riesca a farlo funzionare).
