Yoav, can you elaborate a little more on what files we are supposed to move where? I’ve got this same problem, I don’t get any emails at all, but did get them before updating all the sales and administrator email options to my custom transactional email templates. I created all my own transactional emails like in the screencast and have plugged in a valid email but nothing ever comes through. I copied the default templates in:
jonahcoyote,
You’re likely experiencing a different issue, since your locale is already set to US. If you were trying to send out emails in French, you could copy
app/locale/en_US/template/email
to
app/locale/fr_FR/template/email
It seems likely that you have a configuration issue with your custom transaction emails.
I’m not much of an expert on custom MX records but I just realised that my client has custom MX record setup for the same domain where I’ve setup their Magento install. Would this be affecting the sending of emails? If so, is there something I can do in the configuration to remedy this?
Seams changing locale is the source of many throubles. I find this after few new installations and delete/recreate the database. Everithing it’s ok with en_US, many thing goes wrong with ro_RO....
I don’t really know how but after messing with things for a bit my emails are now magically working! I’m leaning towards the fix being having the correct server in the SMTP settings even though I’m using Dreamhost (Linux/Unix host). Oh well…
My locale in “System / Configuration / Locale Options / Locale” is set to “English (United States)”, but my queued newsletters are still not going out.
I have this problem too. Copying en_US across to en_GB solves it however all new orders have order email not sent on them in the admin panel - is it sending invoices though? Is there anywhere I can check or turn on logging?
Why is the admin copy not being sent? This used to work fine and now has stopped when nothing has been changed? Any one....
This is a bug. The way to work a round it is to include a copy of the email template under your specific locale. We will release another revision to 1.0 soon that will include some bug fixes including a fix for this bug.
thanks
yoav
Does this work with the English (US) as well? If so, how do you do this? I’ll need pretty detailed instrutions, Newbie here.
I have the newest edition of Magento, but I’m not getting any admin emails from orders or from new customers sign ups.
How can this be fixed?
I’m on a Linux server (http://www.webmasters.com), I’ve disabled the spam filter from them. I’ve messed with the smtp settings through the system > configuration > advanced system and that hasn’t worked either.
Does anyone have any way to fix this? I thought it was taken care of in this new release?
I’m not sure how to test what anything is saying through any backend notes (or whatever you call them). I’m really new to any backend type stuff.
Hi, Ive tried everything and no luck too, really not getting any suggestions from Magento staff after asking for 2weeks Sherrie tried but no luck...Total email HALT!!!
