Hi

I’m working on new design for magento. Below you have a screenshot of category page. I’ll be glad if you guys tell me what is wrong, what we can change, what we can move, etc.

It will be free template so i wish all of us will help to build it now and in the next steps

I’m getting “Server Not Found”, although from what it sounds it must look nice.  I’ll have to admit that I’m impressed by what little of know about Magento ... What really appeals to me upon my quick observations is that it doesn’t look bloated and complicated like the majority of eCommerce I’ve delved into ... nice work Magento team!  Definitely looking forward to give this a go

BTW - Are there any .psd files, or additional docs explaining the details for creating custom templates?

What software did you use for doing the design just out of interest?

I believe the Lento guys are using Dreamweaver.

I mean the graphics… not the html

Ah that makes sense. Your guess is as good as mine, but I’m gonna guess Photoshop and the use of stock graphics for the phones and such. It’s just too time-consuming to assemble phones and such in a 3D program solely for the purpose of a template. Just a thought.

1. graphics:
- Macromedia Fireworks
- Adobe Photoshop
- Gimp
2. animations
- Swish
- Macromedia Flash
3. Coding
- Macromedia Dreamweaver
- Pajączek (polish stuff)

Hi Guys,

Good work The Template really looks great.

Only one technical aspect:
What will happen to the top menu, if there are 15 or 20 Categories on tier level 1?
That´s one of the biggest problems with horizontal navigations combined with dynamic item count.

If you are interessted i’d like to help you setting up the template (xhtml & css).

It will be great that someone can help us in coding to HTML, css and getting it worked into the system. We can make graphic but we are short of time to code it. Maybe some collaboration?
