I had a similar problem in that it just hung on “Importing” however now when I look at my categories I have about 15 new category tree with all the same info in them (wierd).

Also I’m not sure how it was supposed to work but no image data got moved over either.  I think this has to be a bug because it would be a real pain to have to go through 1000 products and pick the image for each!

Are you installing on WAMP (or any other local running server system) by any chance?

I had the same issue, then realised that WAMP was set to OFFLINE. Putting it online installed the plugin instantly.

Cheers

I’ve had exactly the same problem. And then after trying to run an import, the admin header seems to have hanged:

Any help would be greatly appreciated. My DB is encoded in latin1_swedish1, could this be the problem?

Best regards

Phil.

Ok sorted.

First off, after installing and running OS Commerce migration tool the admin interface was screwed. This was fixed by chmoding 755 the js folder and everything under it (use an FTP Client that can do this for you, manually it would take you forever).

I had a further problem with data connection types. Check your phpadmin panel to find out what your database default connection type is (e.g. utf-8), and what your database is collated in (e.g. latin1).

And then bingo it works!
