I’ve been working with Magento since the early early preview release. Fell in love with it, and convinced one of my clients to completely switch over from their asp-driven site to the Magento Platform. It’s been alot of work but nevertheless VERY fun, and I wanted to showoff the site to the community to keep everyone inspired as to what can be achieved with Magento. I’ve seen some great sites and I’m glad that Magento is picking up steam!
@everyone…
Thanks for the comments. Much obliged to the magento team for making the frontend so flexible. Look forward to more additions.
@alanin..
I didn’t do anything in particular, thats just the speed of Magento! I know the team has been making improvements with each release to see that it runs quickly. I’m very happy with it, especially since we only use one Hi-res image for each product. Its then sized down, rather than creating a small_image, thumbnail and large image. Cache is enabled, and I’ve made sure the server is up to speed but other than that, nothing special. Thats just Magento!
Thanks! I appreciate that. Keep playing with magento, honestly its incredible once you really dig into it. Feel free to send me a msg here or via twitter too if you need help.
