I was wondering if it was possible to find the EXPECTED release date of the new build covering some bug fixes?

An update is expected by the end of the month.

Thanks!  It’s helpful to know when the next release is planned.

Great news!  We were beginning to look at other e-commerce solutions after we saw that 1.0 release still had a few major issues to be resolve before we wanted to jump on board.

For us, performace and stability are the two major issues.  We just want to be confident in the core codebase that it will a good fit for us long term to begin to iterate on.

Thanks for all your hard work Roy and Magento Team!

It will be great, I hope the most bugs are gone in the next release, because I love Magento(also programming with Magento source I really like).

When my shop is in production, I will share some of my components/modules and maybe my Themes wink

Thanks guys for Magento, it’s my life when it’s good for production release(not yet, too many major bugs).

Do you have something like a future roadmap? The Roadmap on the Homepage is of no use since there are no distinction like “expected to be relased this year”.

When will Magento be made ready to be used in the EU? I’m waiting to switch to Magento from xtcommerce (which is a well-known oscommerce fork here) but cannot since it’s totally unsuitably for the ecommerce needs in the EU :(

We do not publish dates. As soon as features are ready, they will be released. In regards to taxes, updates should be made shortly to provides further support for European audiences.

Did you see the ammount of bugs they have to deal with? I don’t think majority will be solved by the end of the month smile

@Roy or Magento Dev Team

In the updated release later this month will it include only bug fixes or can we expect some improvements with regards to performance?

Hi think that Magento Team is installing Magento on their customer sites and testing them. So many bugs will be fixed.

For those of us who have already started building a store with 1.0, will there be some kind of upgrade utility included or a readme on how to upgrade from 1.0 to the new version? We already have about 6,000 products in the store.
