Hi everyone, I just installed uploaded magento. am I suppose to be seeing the demo store with products or not. The store is there, just no product.

In related post - go to the Sample Data section and follow the instructions to download and add sample products.

i have put in some catalog items on my own, but i am not seeing anything on the front page. i think the default template is not setup to show them. the search box can still find items though.
