Store Manager for Magento vs eCC by Webgility for Quickbooks integration?

I just fractured my right wrist last week, and it is taking much longer time for me to process my orders.. I currently use Excel to track inventory and sales. I recently installed Quickbooks Pro and finally entered most of my product… But I still need to find a way to sync orders (possibly previous orders) to Quickbooks and track inventory automatically.

I searched through the Magento forum and found so far the better ways to sync Magento eccomerce and Quickbooks are Store Manager for Magento http://www.mag-manager.com/ or eCC by Webgility http://www.webgility.com/quickbooks-ecommerce-connector.php.

Can someone please tell me which is better in my situation in terms of pricing, functionality, easy-to-use and customer service?
- I do not have POS
- I have Quickbooks Pro 2011

    Thanks in advance!

Hello guys, I tried bluehost for my magento webhosting and I just realize I am wrong to choose them since it ‘s too slow. My customers is global and I want my hosting need to run well in Europe and US. At least in the first step I need reasonable magento hosting solution what can help my site work well, and then fast and good support.

There are too many options but any tips to choose a good one and who is the best? Thanks

Which one to use with Quickbooks POS - Authorize.net or Quickbooks Merchant Service?

Based on the research, this is probably going to be the setup -

- Quickbooks Point of Sale
- Magento
- Webgility ECC for sync of orders, items etc
- Authorize.net or Quickbooks Merchant Service

Now I have people recommending to use Quickbooks merchant service in POS because it will keep things organized but Quickbooks merchant service is not available with Magento. I found this plugin for quickbooks but I don’t think it’s under development anymore.

On the other hand, Authorize.net is available in Magento and Webgility Ecc seems to offer the option to capture authorization after the order is shipped.

Not sure if I should pay someone to code module for Quickbooks merchants and have both online and instore payments go through Quickbooks. On the other hand, simply stick to Authorize.net for online payments and manually process payments in store with a terminal.

We have an ecommerce website in which we sell highly customizable products
In our brick and mortar store, we’d like our sales person to take orders on behalf of the customers:
- creating an account with default password on behalf of customer
- choosing product options on ipad and ordering on behalf of customer (so that the order taken in store appear on magento website)
- actual payment is done through different system

any thoughts of a module that would help us on that?

Thanks

POS system recommendation for hybrid store (online and brick and mortar with both physical and virtual products)

We are building a site for a client that has a brick and mortar location as well as online web sales. They sell ecommerce goods as well as virtual goods (tour & rental bookings).

The Magento community database is going to manage their tangible and virtual goods with a Google Calendar scheduler integration, but we need a POS system for them to use in their brick and mortar shop (kayak tours & rentals). In should include or support a code reader and credit card scanner. They run a very high volume seasonally so having excellent customer support is important as well.

We are running into issues with their existing POS (Lightspeed) not syncing well with Magento community. Currently they have Macs but would be open to switching to PC if the POS system is a major improvement.

Any insight you have would be very helpful!

POS & Magento - Stock Availability Issue

We have a POS integration set up to work with our Magento store. Stock figures are updated every few minutes and this is working well. The issue that we are facing is that when an item goes out of stock (stock updates to 0), Magento sets the stock availability message to “Out of Stock”. The problem is that when the stock figure is updated to a number greater than 0, Magento still shows the item as “Out of Stock”, regardless of how many we now have in stock.

Is there a way to automatically change the stock availability message when an item is updated and comes back in stock?
