Roadmap: Gift Certificates?

Hi,

First off kudos to the folks at Varien for the great work thus far. A question about the Roadmap for Magento…

I was wondering if the features listed on the roadmap at http://www.magentocommerce.com/roadmap has functionality in the order from top to bottom in which they are going to be built? In particular I am excited to get Gift Certificates working in Magento. In particular:

- ability to purchase a GC, and send a redemption code to a recipient
- redemption of the GC during checkout
- remaining credit of GC to be maintained
- ability ot check GC value

Thanks for any info you can give!

“Whoops, it looks like you have an invalid PHP version.

Magento supports PHP 5.2.0 or newer. Find out how to install Magento using PHP-CGI as a work-around.”

Re: Partner Program

No offense meant but… isn’t the pricing levels for the partner program a little high considering:

1. Magento really has not been ‘tested’ in the eCommerce community. Meaning, there are not many people using it to determine the actual market [end user] scope.

2. Its still a beta application

Paying as much as $3500 while still having to pay for training, certification, publications, professional services and sponsorship does not seem like much of a benefit to the partner. As a host I can offer hosting and installations of Magento without having to pay any fees or needing to purchase training, certification, publications, professional services and sponsorship.
