I am currently trying to find an extension that can do all of these 1) because we need to keep postage down and 2) becasue we have a number of ‘bulky’ items which cannot be sent by 2nd or 1st class or special delivery and need to go by parcel force.

The extension needs to recognise that a certain weight/size has been exceeded and give only the parcel force option if necessary.

There is no 2KG limit on Airmail included in the extension (we found this out the hard way when we had to pay £30 more to fulfill a customer order), and for domestic there is no Large letter option (1st and 2nd Class).
We use Large letter for almost everything we send within the UK, as i’m sure do many sellers.

Can these be included in the next update? :D

Are there any plans to add to this module to take into account the cost of postage using franking instead of the standard charges?

Just one product in the database.

Its 1.4kg yet only special delivery shows up as a valid deliver option.

Any ideas why things like standard parcel are missing?

This option should only show on a Friday.

If you could submit all of your feature requests on there it would allow me to track them a lot easier.

* Introduce “Airmail” and “Airsure” and “International Signed for” for all destinations that are applicable for these shipping methods.

* Remove the country specifier from the configuration to accommodate the new methods.  This means that UK methods will come up for addresses in the UK, and the worldwide methods will come up for countries outside the UK.

As far as a timescale goes, I should have the worldwide ready to go in a few days.  In the mean time, if there are any other features that people would like introduced then I will be more than happy to consider them.

Once the above “Todo List”, of sorts, has been implemented, I think I can consider the module complete and it’s stability can be classed as stable.  Any further updates to the module will be made if Royal Mail’s prices change.  I’ll try and get the new module release up as soon as Royal Mail release new prices.

Would it be possible to add an option to set a maximum shipping price the customer has to pay, regardless of the real cost - separately for UK and International shipping?

Also - how about editing or assigning custom names to the default shipping options/methods within the module?

Are you thinking about adding PIP (i.e. dimension) settings to your script, see here for more.

I know this is a big ask...perhaps outside the scope of this contribution as this would be useful/is needed for more than just Royal Mail…
