Custom Permalinks Instead of Default Permalinks

First of all..Great Job!!!

Is it possible (for better SEO) to use custom permalinks? For example, the intall states to have permalinks set to default.

But as I am assure everyone is aware, the link:

http://www.domainname.com/blog/?p=1

does not work as well in SEO as

http://www.domainname.com/blog/uncategorized/hello-world

Convert Checkout page from 1 column to 2column

Help me !
I’m trying to change checkout page from 1column to 2columns-right.
But right column appear only static blocks and not an other blocks - for example last viewed products.

Magento totally broken after upgrade to 2.9.

I upgraded Wordpress to 2.9 and now EVERYTHING is broken.

I got a slew of errors like this:

I need to have separate blogs too, because there are a lot of users, a lot of thems, e. t. c.

In standart wordpress all blogs was placed in one DB table, but for wordpress MU each blog was placed in separate table and SQL queries running more faster

in magento there are a lot of shops, where each shop I need to associate with separate blog

Any idea for do that?

Trailing slashes on store URLs

We’ve installed Wordpress 2.9.2 within Magento 1.4 and everything is working fine - however, we now get trailing slashes on all URLs within the store, ie. department.html now rewrites to department.html/ etc.

Can anyone shed any light on how we can go about fixing this?

We are using the above combo and the instructions need changes to reflect new line numbers and a check on the wordpress inclusion in index.php

1. find index.php in the root of your magento installation and find the following line of code

and add the following after it

Note the “/wordpress/”. Make that match where ever the public sees the blog. Putting it in the REQUEST_URI resolves the page 2 issue that people were having when you paginated the products page on magento and you have an active ‘page’ in the wordpress CMS.

you will need to be sure that the second line points to the location of your wordpress installation, as it is, it assumes wordpress in installed in the magento directory.

2. in wordpress/wp-settings.php find the following lines of code and remove the & symbol

4. now to the wordpress part. copy the theme in wordpress_module_files/wordpress-theme into wordpress\wp-content\themes

5. log into the admin panel of wordpress and click settings. then change the “Blog address (URL)” to http://yoursite.com/magento/blog change to fit your site, but leave the blog part. Save settings then Click permalinks. Ensure permalinks are set to default. Finaly goto design and select the magento theme installed in step 4.

6. now go to http://yoursite.com/magento/blog to access the blog.
