Hi Everyone,

Ran into this error when trying to install the osCommerce package. If you get the extension key from the site it is:

magento-core/Mage_Oscommerce

But entering it within the Package management and going to install gives a PEAR error saying invalid/missing package but at the top of the console is states the current package is: Mage_Oscommerce-1.0.19700 with appropriate channel.

So I got it to install by entering the following as the install path:

magento-core/Mage_Oscommerce-1.0.19700

Figure it might help someone with a similar problem.

Hi everyone,
I’m using the latest version (as of 8/19/08) of the import tool. Categories imported fine. Product import never goes past 0%, even after I left it for literally 3 hours.

* Starting profile execution, please wait…
* Warning: Please don’t close window during importing/exporting data

* Categories processed 100% 15/15 records
* Products processed 0% 0/4463 records

Any ideas?

I am using this module to import data from zencart. I recognize that this module was written for OSCommerce, but the stores share common core tables and other people have had success using this module with zencart.

My problem is that my zencart database tables are currently prefixed with zen_. I configured osCommerce Profile correctly enough to be authenticated by the database, but upon trying ‘Run Profile’ I am getting the message

I have unsuccessfully tried with and without setting the ‘prefix’ option to ‘zen_’. It appears to me that the prefix field is not currently being referenced by the osCommerce Migration Tool (Mage_Oscommerce v1.0.19700). I have verified that the table ‘brass5_brasslinepro.zen_languages’ exists.

Any ideas? Thanks!

This might have something to do with the charsets I chose when running. But I ran the migration tool, it took around 3 hours and appeared to be working like a charm. But when it was complete, I was missing:

Product Names (Only had ids and prices)
Category Names (Only Ids and Parent linkage)
Customer Names (Only email address, date since, country, zip and phone)
Customer Address(See above - Only country and zip)

In addition:
No Order data was imported at all (report said it only missed 2 because there was no customer for them)
No image links for products (Images HAVE been imported and arranged properly in the media dir though - just no links to products)

This is the first time I have run this. So not sure if my settings were sweet or not. I set both the Connection and Data charset to UTF-8. This is what my database told me in the admin.

Any ideas?

I imported my OSC content using the latest patch. The products//orders//categories opened up and that was fine.

I had to edit a couple of them and noticed when i edited them, they went off the frontend.

On the backend, in the categories screen, they are still there - they just dont show up in the frontend.

See attachment for better explanation i guess
