Hey everyone, my name is Sean and I’m a web developer that specializes in Magento. I used to setup all my clients on Shopify or Oscommerce but those stores weren’t nearly as cool and awesome as Magento. I’ve found Magento to be a lot easier to use than most people think. Once you get over the learning curve you’ll find out how easy it is to make a site. Usually, I’ll start out with the blank or modern theme and go from there. My whole objective when creating a new site is to start with the CSS file and style things the way I want them to look before going in and modifying the templates folder. Once I get things the way I want with CSS, I’ll go through the templates and edit the template files individually. I love the Onestepcheckout extension because it really helps increase conversions. A client of my sells purity rings and they’ve been using this extension for a few months and it’s definitely helped a lot. I really suggest everyone gets it and gets rid of the default magento checkout because it requires too much clicking.

I’m really hoping that the Magento community edition doesn’t get thrown out because there’s such an awesome community here behind it. There’s no better shopping cart to work with than magento as I said before.

Hopefully I can help people out with learning Magento in this forum. I plan on starting module development and coming up with some cool ideas. We’ll see what happens.
