1. Add a global attribute called ‘condition’ in Catalog > Attributes > Manage Attributes. This should be a dropdown with at least one option: “new”

2. Apply the attribute to the attribute set for the product

3. Go into the product editor and make sure the attribute has a value (e.g. “new") for each product

4. Now try adding to Google Base

5. Rejoice

Condition is a required attribute for google base, which is not auto-added by magento, it seems.

]]> 2012-05-18 T;21:16:00-08:00 Comment by HumanBeing {url_as_title} It’s not a problem with Google or with our Google Base accounts.  A manual export of products using the “gbase.php” workaround posted on the forum imports properly into Google Base.  The bug is in the Google Base code in Magento, which may not have been updated to match Google Base’s latest API.
