just wanted to help to spread the word about magento and help the supporters to network with each other. so i just started the group. as you can see now. i made Roy the first officer of the group, so no worries i might do some stupid stuff with the group.

nice idea about the magento facebook app. i started a forum thread in the group about the same issue.

aFFi, we are currently working on adding a groups section to the Magento Community site. We are hoping to have it ready for joining and collaborating as early as next month. I will post an announcement when it is up and running.

Good to have a Facebook-group as well, but I’m not sure wheter this is going to be the Official Magento-group or just the Magento-fan-group? I think Magento should start an Official Magento Group as well, so that the owner of the other group dont close it one day (although I dont think Jan would do that).

And while we are into Facebook; we should discuss how Facebook can help storeowners to get more sales by using Magento and Facebook. A button; “Add this product to the Facebook Marketplace”, or maybe a button on every product; “Like this product? Publish it on Facebook to let your friends see it!”

I dunno.. Just thinking loud
