Update: Magento Connect Popularity Scores

We have recently been notified of a company using unscrupulous methods to dramatically increase specific extensions profiles’ Popularity Scores on Magento Connect.  As a result of this inappropriate activity, several of our member’s extension scores have been affected and are not being represented correctly.  We have identified the source of the behavior and are taking the necessary steps to hold those involved accountable, and to lock down our system to help prevent this type of behavior in the future.  In order to maintain the integrity of our valued developer ecosystem, we will be correcting the counter for the Popularity Scores of those affected across Magento Connect immediately.  Please note that this process may take up to two weeks to accurately represent the Popularity Scores as they had appeared before this behavior occurred.

At Magento, the trust of our customers is a top priority and we’ll continuously assess our processes to ensure we maintain our operations at a high standard for developer success. Thank you for your continued support and patience as we work to make things right.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to .
