This looks awesome! It’s exciting to think that we are within a week of the final 1.0 release. The next few weeks will be very exciting around here.

I agree. I hope the Magento team has made plans for the droves of people who will be flooding the site after the release.

So the current release is the last one before 1.0?
Wooo!

@ODB - The next release will be the long awaited 1.0. We’ll be uploading photos all week to the Magento Facebook group with ‘behind the scenes’ shots

Roy,
Some (constructive) criticism:
The Magento logo on the store screenshot (within the screenshot above) is still the old color.
The bottom bar is quite messy.

I’ve tried 12326 ecommerce solutions in the last month. All suck. I cant wait for the full release of Magento, the only thing I pray is that its FASTER.

@RoyRubin
Can you also post the photos here or at some other site that doesn’t require registration before viewing? (Flikr.com perhaps?)

1.0RC1 is available via Pear!!!
18mytechfactory from New York, NY|posted March 27 2008
How do you upgrade. I tried and it says nothing to upgrade
19Moshe from Los Angeles|posted March 27 2008
@Greg, mytechfactory: it won’t be available for download until we will post a blog about it
The packages that are currently uploaded to PEAR are for development and testing only.
20Greg from Carmel, IN USA|posted March 27 2008
Moshe, I noticed it was a ‘development’ release and not ‘stable’, ‘alpha’, or ‘beta’. So I didn’t try to d/l. I thought about changing my PEAR config to ‘development’, but thought I would probably break the world if I installed that over a ‘beta’ level install. So I have no guts… It’s just a test box, but I didn’t want to blow it up.
21mytechfactory from New York, NY|posted March 27 2008
Good thing you didn’t try because although it said nothing to upgrade, it broke my playground/sandbox installation. Just a warning to others before they try.
