Magento on the Road: Meet Us at the Internet Retailer Conference
Varien is going north to visit the Internet Retailer Conference this June and if you'll be there we would love to meet up. We'll be available on the main conference days of June 5 and 6th, so if you would like to learn more about Magento, discuss a project or just say hello send an email to Roy at roy@varien.com.

I’ve just discovered Magento, it seems wonderfull !
Does it exist a roadmap of the project ?
And what kind of release will come this summer, an operating or beta ?
Another last question… Why do you offer this opensource system instead of keeping it for you ? Maybe you’re just good people, but what is your interest ?

Hello Remi,
A roadmap will be posted in the next few weeks. We have ambitious plans and exciting features that are planned. We expect a pretty stable beta to be released this summer and a 1.0 release within a few shorts weeks after that.
We love open source and want to create an exciting, engaged community. And yes, we are good people
or at least we think.
