Rogier - A full featured community site is in the final stages of development. We will release it with the launch of Beta1 (first preview of Magento).

I’m a little confused...i understand that magento is “open source evolved” but i’ve read on the EE forums that you plan to start looking at some form of merger with expressionengine, a very slick but proprietary CMS?

Steve - the discussion on the Expression Engine (EE ) forum involved the possibility of integration at some point in the future. Magento is and will be open source.
