We are getting closer to the launch of Magento and and are looking for contributors who want to help with the translation. We’d love to share Magento with the non-English speaking world ...
This includes the product itself and the upcoming community site. If you are interested, please leave a comment or contact us.

I reply by mail to propose my services for french translating...I never had any sort of answer to it.

Remco - A dutch version is part of our plans - yes. It should be available in a future release.

If translating means you get the beta version with it, sign me in for helping with the dutch version. We have been searching for a budget solution, meaning less then € 40.000 for a new system but it looks like ‘not open source’ means ‘strangle me’ or pay servicecost year after year.
