Is there a way of showing 'From £XX.XX' for a category?
So on the category view it will show the figure of the cheapest product in that sub-category.
Example, you click a parent category, it then shows all the sub-categorys, each with title, description, image and from price.
Been scracthing my head for the last few hours over this. -
I just fractured my right wrist last week, and it is taking much longer time for me to process my orders.. I currently use Excel to track inventory and sales. I recently installed Quickbooks Pro and finally entered most of my product... But I still need to find a way to sync orders (possibly previous orders) to Quickbooks and track inventory automatically.
I searched through the Magento forum and found so far the better ways to sync Magento eccomerce and Quickbooks are Store Manager for Magento http://www.mag-manager.com/ or eCC by Webgility http://www.webgility.com/quickbooks-ecommerce-connector.php.
Can someone please tell me which is better in my situation in terms of pricing, functionality, easy-to-use and customer service?
- I do not have POS
- I have Quickbooks Pro 2011

how do i fix this?
at the moment, paypal will not send information back to magento saying that the payment has been received, the “place order” button does not work when using authorize.net, i cannot create invoices, and i cannot change status of orders,
which also means that the customer’s cant accurately track their order progression, all sorts of crap… basically, all of the things that made me use magento in the first place.
so please PLEASE tell me how to fix this..

The drop down box for selecting the state does not show up at all in IE8. It shows up just fine in IE9, Firefox, and Chrome. I created a brand new install on a brand new server and the problem still persists. If I create a new database the problem goes away, however if I import the old one the problem comes back. Any ideas?

I would like to import products that have multiple categories. In earlier versions this was done by adding more category ID's to the product. Since importing in Magento 1.6 requires Category names instead of Category ID's, we tried to add multiple categories to products by separating category names with a comma for one product. The result is an extra line for the categories behind the comma, only containing the category name and no other data.
Hope you guys come up with a solution.

Hi, I'm currently pulling my hair out trying to get Magento 1.6.2.0 running locally on MAMP Pro (Mac OS X 106.8 Snow Leapord). I keep getting an error and the page cannot open when it trys to install;

it says the page address is not vaild. The start works fine but once it gets to the part where it install the databases this happens each time. I've followed all the other tutorials online but still to no avail...
Are there any step by step instructions anyone can forward to me.

Have given away hundreds of gift certs and want to limit their use to one per order and avoid one customer using multiple gift certificates per order. Also, if this can't be done, then how can I generate hundreds of promo codes, same offer but each customer gets a different promo code.

Using a collection, how would I filter where two fields do not equal each other. For example: select * from table where field1 <> field2
I tried using
$collection->addFieldToFilter('field1', array('neq' => field2));
But this results in field2 being wrapped in single quotes in the actial SQL. -

3 store has same functionlity but on 4th one I want to add diff functionlity and modules (Want to switch of some modules that are used in first 3 stores).

I would like to upload images to later use on the site, however, the only way I can figure out to do this is through FTP or on the admin panel by creating a new page or block THEN i have an option to insert and upload. I just want to upload without other functionality attached. For instance, if we are going to have a promo later in the month, I want to be able to upload 10 images and come back to use them later.

I make bundle products like computers, but i have seome problems to add products like CPU's when the computer suports 2 CPU's.
The customer can change the quantity but also can add more than 2 and I don't wanted.
IE: With radio buttons
1x Intel XEON 5620
2x Intel XEON 5620
1x Intel XEON 5630
2x intel XEON 5630
...
Problem is I can't add the simple product two times to add with different quantities.
I have thinking to make a small bundle product of 2 units of Intel XEON 5620 to limit the maximum units of the sme produt
The problem also apeears if i want to configure RAID solutions in a PC.
I know it's complex but it could be really interesting to solve complicate bundle producs

(1) confirmation of quote
(2) confirmation of the orders??Is there any extension available for the same??? Or any suggestion to do the same??

As we receive cutomer purchase order receipt from authorize.net I found that I didnt get oerdered item details in that mail. So any one would help me to get items details in that email.
